Situated in one of the loveliest harbors in the beautiful 1000 Islands, the Antique Boat Museum offers the entire family a thrilling day of summer fun. Enjoy a speedboat ride in a triple cockpit mahogany runabout or take up the oars yourself in a wooden skiff and explore the waterfront of Clayton, New York. Every Wednesday evening during the summer season the Museum offers its fleet of small boats for use during the Oar, Paddle and Sail Night program. Visitors can also stroll amidst the Museum's priceless collection of over 200 boats including the elegantly furnished 106' Gilded-Age houseboat "La Duchesse". Feel the excitement of racing over water while touring the "Quest for Speed" exhibit, which focuses on the story of powerboat racing from 1904 to the present day. Persons of all ages will enjoy learning about boats and the area’s cultural history through the interactive experiences found around the Museum. Before leaving be sure to stop in the Museum store and pick up a nautical keepsake. In the words of Congressman John McHugh, "the Antique Boat Museum is a truly wonderful, family-friendly attraction.”
